I have known and been involved with Wayne and Sandra Gabbert at Gabbert Design for over three decades through my previous business Nortruss Builder Supplies and my current consulting work on behalf of the Rirratjingu Aboriginal Corporation as their Commercial Development Manager in Nhulunbuy, East Arnhem land.
During this time Gabbert Design have worked closely with me on a number of projects coordinating architectural work with all associated consultancy work from electrical, hydraulic and structural engineering and certification requirements. Gabbert Design have particularly gone the extra yard to assist with the completion of a number of projects where solutions needed to be found quickly due to issues arising in remote area work.
The diversity of work undertaken by Gabbert Design for the Rirratjingu Aboriginal Corporation includes the design of the Rirratjingu Business Centre, design of future housing requirements, 256 person Worker’s Village, modelling for a fuel, vehicle and boat wash bay and laundromat in Nhulunbuy and refurbishment, extension and provision of a fuel facility at the Yirrkala Store in Yirrkala.
